Opportunities for High School Students

We're the #1 Community College in Tennessee, and a leader of degrees issued to middle college students in the state.

Here's why: Compared to some dual enrollment programs out there, our program is designed for you to complete a full degree (60 hours) while you are in high  school, not  just  getting you a few classes that only get you halfway finished (requiring more tuition to complete your degree).

Paired with our Middle College or Dual Enrollment Grants, students on average only pay $2,900 out-of-pocket thanks to the lowest tuition in West Tennessee compared to any college or university.

You read that right...less than the cost of Starbucks for a year, you have a college degree. Pretty cool, right?

For Parents

Middle College is designed for high school students looking to earn an associate degree at the same time as their high school diploma.

Dual enrollment allows high school students to take college-level courses and earn college credit they can transfer. They may also earn high school credit or a combination of both.

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï is committed to providing students with a flexible course schedule, allowing students to maintain a synchronous schedule between high school and college classes.

This depends on your student's educational goals. Do they want to earn an associate degree while they attend high school? If so, Middle College would be the best option.

Would they prefer to earn college credit that they can transfer later? In that case, dual enrollment would be a better fit.

Our Middle College awards $2,000 each semester. If eligibility is lost, the student may switch to Dual Enrollment Grant to cover remaining courses. Estimated cost not covered by grant is $1,035 plus cost of textbooks/courseware. This assumes the use of 12 local dual credit hours and switching to the dual enrollment grant during the last semester.

The Dual Enrollment Grant fully covers the student's first five courses. Estimated tuition and fees to cover an associate degree not covered by the dual enrollment grant is $5,000 plus cost of textbooks/courseware. This assumes the use of 12 local dual credit hours.

These estimates are based on current 2024-2025 ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Dual Enrollment tuition.
