UpSkill Workforce Readiness Program Enrollment Deadline Extended
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Community College (ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï) Workforce Solutions has extended the deadline to enroll for its second cohort of the UpSkill Workforce Readiness Program to Friday, November 1. This program is made possible through a partnership with UpSkill Mid-South, covering all tuition and material costs, allowing students to earn free industry credentials to help them enter the workforce or make career changes.
The 14-week, 225-hour program will begin Monday, November 4, meeting in the evening from 5-9 p.m. every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, allowing participants to work around their daily work schedules. The program will provide participants with essential workforce skills including:
- Work Ethic certification
- Digital skills (file management, software applications, communication, internet navigation/safety, data analytics, generative AI, cybersecurity)
- OSHA 30 safety training for general industry
- Tool Identification
- Mechatronics
- Robotics
As part of the training, students will be eligible to roll training hours into 15 hours of college course credit towards ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s Engineering Systems Technology degree.
Eligibility
To qualify for enrollment in the program, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be unemployed or underemployed (classified as earning less than $15 per hour or working 30 hours or less per week).
- Must reside in West Tennessee, Northern Mississippi, or Northwestern Arkansas regions.
