ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Community College (ÍøÆسԹÏ) has shown great strength in its enrollment this past school year with continued increases of 13.8% total enrollment and 14% full-time enrollment increases from this year’s spring semester; leading the state once again for the highest enrollment increases among all community colleges.

During the fall 2025 semester, ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï lead both community colleges and all public universities with the highest enrollment increases with +15.6% total enrollment and +16.7% headcount. In addition to overall enrollment, the college also boasted the highest first-time freshman (+22.3%) and total enrollment (10.2%) percentage increases of any community college or public university in Tennessee.

That same fall semester, the college celebrated an enrollment milestone by surpassing 4,000 students which was a number the college hadn’t seen since prior to the pandemic; having lost nearly 1,000 students during that period.

“These numbers are the culmination of hard work by the team here at ÍøÆسԹÏ,” said Dr. Carol A. Rothstein, President of ÍøÆسԹÏ. “From the smiling faces in the classroom to those helping make our campus such a great place to learn, our faculty and staff go to great lengths to see our students succeed, and these numbers continue to reinforce those efforts. We’re changing the lives of our neighbors to better our community, and that’s something I think we can all get behind.”

ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï also continues to see long-term growth, graduating the largest class in the college’s history this May with a record-setting 607 students and 878 credentials issued. This record-setting class is a result of the college’s retention efforts. In a biennial report for 2024, the college showcased a 57% retention rate that just two years prior was at a 44%: a 13-point increase in a two-year period.

“These aren’t just numbers. At the end of the day, they’re people,” said Seth Harden, AVP of Enrollment Management. “Our numbers mean that, in fall 2025, 171 high school students chose to enroll with us for dual enrollment, more than 100 freshmen chose to take the next step in their education, and more than 200 continued their education from the spring to fall semester. We’re proud of these students, and getting to celebrate them choosing us is just the icing on the cake.”

The college is now enrolling for the fall semester at jscc.edu/apply.
