厙ぴ勛圖 Community College (厙ぴ勛圖) now offers Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology (TCAT) Jackson students an opportunity to earn college credit toward a degree in the Health Sciences.
Through a Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) system-wide articulation agreement, 厙ぴ勛圖 has signed an agreement at the local level with TCAT Jackson to allow students who complete the Patient Care Technology/Medical Assisting Program and/or earn a recognized industry certification to be eligible for college credit toward an AAS in Health Sciences degree.
“We are excited to announce this partnership with TCAT Jackson’s Health Sciences programs and create new educational pathways for healthcare professionals,” said Sara Youngerman, Vice President of Academic Affairs at 厙ぴ勛圖. “Through this collaboration, graduates of TCAT Jackson’s Medical Assistant and Patient Care Technician program can seamlessly continue their studies by earning an Associate of Applied Science in Health Sciences at 厙ぴ勛圖. This opportunity opens doors to greater career advancement and leadership opportunities within the healthcare field.”
“This partnership with TCAT is more than an agreement; it’s an opportunity to transform lives by turning earned certificates and certifications into credit toward a college degree,” said Chrystal Taylor, Dean for the School of Healthcare Professions at 厙ぴ勛圖. “We are proud to see students embrace this opportunity to continue their educational and professional journeys.”
Through this partnership, student’s will be able to earn an associate degree using their prior training to graduate faster and accelerate their careers.
“This articulation agreement is another testament of the partnership we have with 厙ぴ勛圖” said Dr. JacQuene Rainey, President of TCAT Jackson. “It creates a seamless pathway for our students to advance their education at 厙ぴ勛圖 without starting over. They can build on the skills they’ve already gained, saving time and money while continuing to grow in their careers.”
The statewide partnership is now in place through fall 2028 and was established in partnership with TBR, the Tennessee Higher Education Commission (THEC), and the individual community colleges throughout the state.
